We may offer discounted rates during promotional periods but typically have an agreed upon rate within our signed agreement. 

In addition, rest easy knowing:

1. We are happy to offer special pricing for extended care packages of 3 weeks or longer

2. We work within each clients' private / commercial insurance OR specific Medicaid MCO/CCO requirements and allocations for coverage.

As early as possible—but it’s never too late. I try to support clients through all of life's transitions.

Yes. Many of our core services may be covered by Medicaid insurance (Active: OR Provider # / WA Provider #) or reimbursable through your commercial insurance, HSA, FSA or other employer sponsored benefits. We can provide detailed documentation to support your claim or reimbursement request. We are currently  building internal billing infrastructure and pathways to work with Medicaid insurance clients.

We’ve got you! Root & Rose offers flexible payment arrangements, sliding-scale options and referrals to qualified doula student networks. We’ll work with you to create a plan that fits your needs.

Gateway Doula Group - Student / Pro Bono Doulas

We can divide your total fee into smaller installments, paid weekly, biweekly, or monthly—whatever works best for your budget. Invoices & payment links will be provided.

 A 10% deposit is typically required to reserve your doula(s), but the remainder can be paid over an agreed upon period of time. We can discuss a payment option that fits your individual needs. *If Medicaid client your agreement terms will align with your CCO's criteria.

Yes! Many of our services are eligible for HSA/FSA payments. We’ll work with you to obtain a Letter of Medical Necessity (if applicable) and provide an itemized invoice if your provider needs verification.

Yes—I'm an approved carrot provider who can guide you through reimbursement or billing options. If required I also have Carrot eligible doula(s) I work with to support families, who are amazing!

In most U.S. states, including Oregon, a person who qualifies for pregnancy-related Medicaid is eligible for 12 months of continuous postpartum Medicaid coverage after the pregnancy ends, regardless of whether the pregnancy ends in:

• A live birth 
• A miscarriage 
• A stillbirth 
• An abortion (whether spontaneous or induced, if otherwise eligible under the state's Medicaid program)  

The key point is that the postpartum period begins when the pregnancy ends, not only after childbirth. Federal guidance allows states that have adopted the 12-month postpartum extension to continue coverage for a full year after the end of the pregnancy. 

Key considerations:

• Report the pregnancy outcome to their Medicaid/OHP caseworker or coordinated care organization if required. 
• Continue using their Medicaid benefits during that 12-month postpartum period for physical health, mental health, family planning, and preventive care.

Not yet—and I believe in being transparent about my credentials. While I am not DONA certified I am DONA approved.

I completed my doula training through a DONA International-approved trainer, which means my education meets the training requirements needed to pursue DONA International certification. I am currently working toward completing the remaining certification requirements within DONA's allowed certification timeline.

In addition to my DONA-approved training, I am:

• A registered Traditional Health Worker (Birth Doula) in Oregon 
• Eligible to provide state-funded doula services in Oregon
• Currently completing the final steps to provide state-funded doula services in Washington

My focus is providing compassionate, evidence-informed, culturally responsive support throughout pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and beyond. While certifications are valuable, I believe the quality of care, advocacy, and personalized support I provide are what matter most to the families I serve.
